Internet shopping has become crucial in a context like the current one, where digitalization has completely transformed society and the way of doing business is not conceivable without the Internet. The present research aims to identify the factors that influence the intention to buy online versus physical purchase in the millennial generation of Chiclayo, using the model of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Adapted. A quantitative methodology, explanatory level, non-experimental cross-sectional design was used, with a sample of 393 individuals selected by non-probabilistic snowball sampling. The main results revealed that the model that includes the dimensions of perceived risk, habit, performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, physical store intention and effort expectancy, is the one that contains the highest number of influential factors on online purchase intention, with an influence percentage of 73%. In conclusion, Chiclayan millennials are highly sensitive consumers to the risks associated with online transactions, to this we add that for them online shopping is a habit which is reflected as a behavior acquired by repetitive actions.
