The objective of this research was to improve the inventory management of the ICAISI EIRL company to reduce forgone income. The initial diagnosis revealed deficiencies in inventory management, evidenced by stock shortages in 3 734 products, 590 obsolete products, 1 526 products not inventoried, 152 damaged products and 97 products with overstock during the period from March 2022 to February 2023, the which generated S/89 373,36 of foregone income. For this reason, the following question was formulated: To what extent does a proposed improvement in inventory management reduce the income not received in the company ICAISI EIRL? From this diagnosis, 6 improvement proposals were developed aimed at reducing the income not received in the company. These proposals covered an inventory management model (P model), the mplementation of an information system (ERP-SAP), the reorganization of the warehouse, the incorporation of warehouse technology (RFID), the application of the 5S methodology and a plan. Comprehensive training for company personnel. As a result, a 59,20% reduction in forgone income was achieved. In addition, it is estimated that the project will require a total investment of S/ 11 535,30. With an internal rate of return of 26,66%, a current net value of S/22 110,90 projected over a period of 12 months and a recovery period of the investment in 4 months, it is confirmed that this project is presented as highly viable and profitable for the company under study.
