There is an accelerated loss of coastal landscape value worldwide due to the conditions of continuous urban growth that constantly threaten these natural systems. In the case of the coastline of San José, this human and natural interaction continues to be detrimental since there is no adequate planning. of the coastal area generating detrimental consequences for the city, nature and the economy of the population, which is based mainly on the use of natural value; which leads us to ask ourselves the question of how can we reduce the degradation of the coastal landscape? Establishing as main objective the development of renaturation strategies that allow to reduce the degradation in the landscape, under a qualitative, applied, non-experimental methodology that was developed in three sequential stages; the first of methodological adequacy for the collection of information, the second of the application of said method for the identification of the landscape and finally the propositional stage when developing approaches for the improvement of landscape conditions, all of which evidenced the need that exists for reinterpret and integrate the natural value of urban spaces as a strategy that generates improvement both for the natural systems and for the living conditions of the inhabitants.
