The implementation of turbines for the use of renewable energies has been crucial for the evolution of man in the processes of energy production, this production is due to the use of kinetic energy, converting it into mechanical energy and then transmitting this energy to a generator, thus turning it into electrical energy. Over the years, this energy conversion produces wear in the turbine components, especially in the shaft, since it is the transmitter of mechanical energy and is exposed to temperature changes, mechanical stresses and fatigue caused by the continuous rotation with the blades. All this causes the turbine shaft life to decrease considerably. The objective of this thesis is to perform a fatigue analysis on the turbine shaft using the SolidWorks computational software in order to evaluate the service life of the steel shaft with an AISI 4135 composite material and to conclude which is the optimum material for the shaft.
