Background: Accreditation is a voluntary evaluation process to obtain formalization by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), in Peru, which is responsible for verifying that all the minimum standards for the operation of health establishments are met with the purpose of that users obtain comprehensive, dignified and quality care, this process has been developed since 1993. Objectives: Determine the distribution of the accredited dental establishments in Peru from 1957 to 2022. Methods and Materials: Cross-sectional, observational, descriptive and retrospective study. The inclusion criteria were all records of health establishments with general dentistry found in RENIPRESS, these being our study population, all records found to be duplicates were excluded. The study variables were departments of Peru, institution, health authority and category level. A descriptive analysis of the relative and absolute frequencies of our variables was carried out. Results: The frequency of dental establishments in Peru according to the department, Lima was the department with the most establishments with 50.78%, according to the institution, private establishments occupy the first place with 68.14%, according to the health authority, the DIRESA is the one that leads the frequency with 47.38%, and finally according to the category level, they were both category I-1 and I-3, which had the largest number of dental establishments. Conclusion: The department with the highest frequency of dental centers is Lima, while the institutions with the highest prevalence of establishments are private ones, DIRESA is the predominant health authority, and dental centers are found from the first level of care. And they stand out mainly in categories I-1 and I-3. In addition, the department of Lima contains all categories of establishments, private institutions and the Regional Government are those that contain the highest frequency with establishments in categories I-1 and I-3. In these categories, the DIRESA health authority is the predominant one.
