Aspirations influence the type of experiences people have, their happiness, and the decisions they will make in life, which is why they are considered a good way to understand psychological well-being and the good life. The research aimed to determine the relationship between work aspirations and psychological well-being in university students in Lambayeque in 2022. A quantitative approach was used and a non-experimental correlational design was used. The population consisted of 105 students from the last cycles of the Psychology degree, and a census-type sample was used since the entire population was worked with. The instruments applied were the Work Aspirations Index and the Psychological Well-being Scale, both adapted to the Peruvian context. The results of the study demonstrated a positive relationship between the variables, that is, the greater the intrinsic work aspirations the students have, the greater their psychological well-being. However, it was also found that valuing extrinsic aspirations to the same extent as intrinsic aspirations would not diminish the sense of well-being, since they would complement each other.
