The following work of investigation was developed in the San Martín Region. The main objective of this study was to identify the factors that have had the greatest influence on the profitability of rice cultivation in the San Martín Region during the 2012-2016 period. For this reason, the hypothesis was raised: "Production costs, Productivity and price are determining factors that influence the profitability indexes of rice cultivation in the San Martín Region, period 2012 - 2016."To carry out the statistical tests, the Excel and Econometric Views 5.0 programs were used, as well as the purpose of improve the significance of Productivity in the model, inserted the dummy variable "DUMMY" (D1), variable that represents "Training" and how we did not know the values that CP, P, PP and D1 could take for B / C is equal to 1, it was decided to carry out a simulation using the @risk 7.5 program, while running the model we obtained the main indicators such as the T-Student, F-Statistic, which show the c levels of significance at 5.00%. It can be concluded that the factors that influence the profitability indexes of rice cultivation in the San Martín Region, period 2012-2016; it is explained in 96.31% by the production costs, the productivity of the harvested plots and the farm prices obtained by the farmers at the time of the sale of their production; while 3.69% shows the influence of variables that are not included in the model.
