The study was carried out at the Morales Health Center, where the presence of diverse behaviors that demonstrate emotional affections in pregnant women has been evidenced, having repercussions in their daily life, from their behavior to their diet. The objective was to determine the relationship between emotional disorders and eating behaviors in pregnant women at the Morales Health Center, 2022. The research was non-experimental, basic, quantitative, descriptive-correlational; the population consisted of 414 pregnant women and the sample consisted of 200 pregnant women. The results showed that the sociodemographic characteristics with the highest prevalence in pregnant women were: 41.5% in the age range of 19 to 25 years, 57% had a high school education, 65% were housewives, 62.5% were Catholics, 65% were from urban areas, 35.5% had two pregnancies and 51.5% had an income of ≤ 930 soles. Regarding the level of emotional disorders of the pregnant women, 49.5 % were moderate and the level of eating behaviors was inadequate in 98 %. Likewise, the Rho Spearman non-parametric test showed that there is a relationship between the dimensions of emotional conditions (stress and anxiety) and eating behaviors, because the p-value was (0.001; 0.017) respectively; however, the depression dimension does not show a relationship, since the p-value was greater than 0.05. In conclusion, there is a positive - medium relationship between emotional affections and eating behaviors where the p-value was 0.005 and the Rho = 0.198; therefore, the hypothesis formulated by the researcher was admitted.
