Accelerated population growth in most cities of the country in recent years has resulted in an increase in the demand for greater and better public services, among which rainwater surpluses are especially important; known as urban storm drain. The thesis project called: Hydraulic and Structural Design of the Urban Storm Drainage System of the Las Lomas de San Pedro Sector and the Upper Part of the La Colina Urbanization - Tarapoto - San Martin - 2018, seeks to provide a comprehensive solution to the serious problems of progressive deterioration of the flush of the public roads, platforms of the existing works of art, which are produced in the Lomas de San Pedro and La Colina Urbanization sector; when ordinary and extraordinary rainfall occurs. In this thesis work, topographic surveys have been carried out in the current urban area (15.02 Ha.), Information that allowed us to obtain the plans of the project. The design flow rate was determined using the Rational methods based on the runoff coefficient, collecting areas, slope of the land, the Design Intensity corresponding to a return time Tr = 25 years. Obtained the design flow, the values of the sessions of each collector have been calculated, the same ones that make their delivery to 2 existing main collectors, located in Jr. San Pedro block 10 and Jr. Project block 6. This work will serve as basis for the execution of urban storm drain works, the same ones that are planned for execution in the short and medium term, due to the magnitude of the construction costs. The thesis work “Hydraulic and structural design of the urban storm drainage system of the Las Lomas de San Pedro Sector and the upper part of the La Colina Urbanization - Tarapoto - San Martín - 2018”, was carried out as a contribution to the National University de San Martín - Faculty of Civil Engineering and for the provincial Municipality of San Martin.
