The present study "Tourism potential for the development of nature tourism in the native community Chiricyacu, province of Lamas 2018"; has been developed with the objective of designing a proposal of tourism potential for the development of nature tourism in the native community of Chiricyacu. Methodologically, it was a basic study, with a descriptive level and a descriptive propositional design. The sample consisted of 132 inhabitants of the native community of Chiricyacu in the province of Lamas, and for the respective collection of information the questionnaire was used for the tourism potential variable and the interview guide for nature tourism. The resultas showed that, out of the total number of respondents, 51% answered that the tourism potential is low, due to the fact that they never and almost never make a good management of the costs for visiting the community. In conclusion, nature tourism in the native community acquires little active social participation as a means to solve the economic and environmental problems that afflict it, especially in the community under study, which is at an economic disadvantage due to the poor management of its authorities. This is why an action plan was developed to achieve the potential development of nature tourism in the native community of Chiricyacu, which will only be viable if the direct participation of the local (native) population and the creation of strategic alliances between the public and private sectors are taken into account.
