The present research is entitled: "Relationship between education and income of young people in rural areas of the province of San Martín, year 2020". The objective of the study was to establish the relationship between education and income in young people from rural areas in the province of San Martín, year 2020. The hypothesis to be demonstrated was that there is a direct relationship between education and income in young people from areas rural of the province of San Martín, year 2020. The type of research was applied, with a descriptive-correlational research level and a non-experimental research design was used. The survey questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument; applying a sample of 360 young people between the ages of 15 to 29 years. The method used was mathematics, making use of statistics and probabilistic calculation. It was concluded that there is no high or direct relationship between education and the income of young people in rural areas of the province of San Martin, since the Rho Spearman correlation coefficient was equal to 0.321, which is explained because the research refers to the area where the main indicator to determine income levels is the labor force; besides that, unfortunately, in this area there is a minimum diversity of items and therefore the jobs in which more knowledge is needed are few.
