The following thesis project denominated "GEOMETRIC DESIGN AT THE LEVEL OF AFFIRMATION OF THE NEIGHBOR ROAD EMP. PE-08B (HABANA) - SECTOR CANTORCILLO (KM 00 + 000 AL 05 + 000), DISTRICT OF HAVANA, PROVINCE OF MOYOBAMBA, SAN MARTIN REGION", was developed in the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National University of San Martin - Tarapoto. It arose in response to the need of the population, which includes the producers of the Cantorcillo sector of the district of Havana, to solve the problems caused by the bad state of the access road and that generate high freight costs for the transport of the products grown in the area. towards the consumer markets, so that the present research project seeks to solve these problems, starting with the diagnosis of the reality regarding the state of the road and the importance of it. For the geometric design of the road, preliminary studies were carried out in the field such as a soil mechanics study, traffic study and hydrological studies. Subsequently, design calculations were carried out following the parameters of geometric design standards for unpaved roads and roads. low volume of traffic, determining the design elements and subsequently the thickness of the necessary to ensure the easy and optimal transit of light and heavy vehicles, and thus facilitate producers transport their products in good condition and low cost of freight to the consumer markets. The geometric design was developed at the level of the road, proposing the thickness of the affirmed and transversal drainage works such as culverts and speed bumps, elements of road signs, in this way contributing to the socioeconomic development of the producers of the Cantorcillo sector and the district of Havana, likewise put into practice the knowledge of the career of Civil Engineering, obtained in the classrooms of the faculty.
