In the following research work, the effect of native AMF was evaluated on the presence of rust (Hemileia vastatrix) in caturra variety coffee seedlings under nursery conditions located in the town of Alto Chontal - Lamas of the San Martín Region. It was developed under a Completely Random Design with factorial arrangement of 5A x 2B, considering factor A (sources of native AMF inoculum) and factor B (Inoculation of rust), the interaction between the factors resulted in 10 treatments with 3 seedlings by treatment, making 30 experimental units; a substrate based on agricultural soil and sand (2:1) was used, then inoculum with 1500 native AMF spores, then inoculum with rust spores; the variables evaluated were (seedling height, leaf area, aerial dry biomass, incidence, severity, percentage of colonization and length of mycelium). The results showed that the treatments inoculated with AMF showed increases in height, foliar area, percentage of mycorrhizal colonization, extraradical mycelium length, aerial dry biomass in comparison with the controls that were not inoculated with AMF, exerting the effect of resistance and tolerance to foliar diseases (rust). This research project was developed thanks to the financing of the National Agrarian Innovation Program - PNIA
