The present research was carried out at the Professional School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National University of San Martin in order to obtain the degree of Civil Engineer, with the purpose of designing a drinking water supply system for the following sectors: Codo Achual, Ramada, Planicie and Santa Lucia; located on the right bank of the Cumbaza River in the district of Morales, province and department of San Martin. The objective was to design a drinking water supply system to meet the population demand in the following sectors: Codo Achual, Ramada, Planicie and Santa Lucia. The methodology used is applied with a non-experimental approach, performing engineering, hydrological, geotechnical, topographical, hydraulic and structural studies to determine all the basic information and parameters required for the design of the drinking water system; international and national standards were considered for the procedure. The results obtained were an average future population to benefit of 9657 people for the year 2042, the geomorphological parameters of the study basin, water supply, population demand, maximum flows at the catchment point, the characterization and identification of the predominance of loam sandy soils in the study area, the collection of topographic data, which were then processed through the AutoCAD Civil 2019 software, to obtain the surfaces of the study terrain. The conclusion was that the engineering studies were effective for the design of the drinking water supply system in the following sectors: Codo Achual, Ramada, Planicie and Santa Lucia, Morales district.
