The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National University of San Martín have carried out the following applied type thesis project, and it was developed in the District of Lamas, Province of Lamas, and San Martín Region. This work was also aimed to design the thickness of the pavement layers, currently the road is in inadequate conditions of flow of vehicles and design methods of flexible pavements; in this work some design methods have been developed, which are: The AASHTO 93 Method and the Method of the Asphalt Institute, which are directly related to the design of the pavement structure: there are the hydrological, geotechnical and topographic studies which are necessary for the design of the pavement structure and likewise, the present report presents the study of traffic that also intervenes directly in the design of the urban pavement structure. In this design of the urban pavement structure, technical norms such as the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) were taken into account. , the technical standards for the laboratory test that in summary is the study of the ground of foundation in the same way was taken into account, NTE of urban pavements, pluvial drainage, geometric design of the road and finally includes environmental impact studies that is of vital importance for any project under study. Likewise, it has purpose, to opt for the Professional Title of Civil Engineer, with the technical-scientific contribution to help solve problems of urban roads, which when built will allow having shreds in good condition that will contribute to the development of the benefited population. This definitive study in practice is a feasible construction, boosts the normal flow of transport and vehicular traffic, contributing to access and commercial exchange in the development area and its sphere of influence, obtaining low costs in vehicular transport and in addition to saving of time, which has a multiplier effect in the economic and social aspect.
