Abstract: Complicaciones postoperatorias de la técnica mininuc-catarata, Hospital II-1 Rioja, 2020-2022
Objetivos: Describir las complicaciones postoperatorias inmediatas y tardías de la técnica quirúrgica mininuc en pacientes con catarata en el Hospital II-1 Rioja (2020-2022). Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional retrospectivo utilizando los registros médicos de los pacientes sometidos a la técnica quirúrgica mininuc en el Hospital II-1 Rioja durante el periodo de estudio. Resultados: El estudio mostró que la edad de 70-79 años fue la mas frecuente en la distribución de los pacientes operados por cataratas con un 36,5%. El sexo femenino fue más frecuente con un 54% intervenidas quirúrgicamente, además, tanto ojo derecho como izquierdo, tuvieron la misma frecuencia. Los pacientes intervenidos en su mayoría no tuvieron comorbilidades y su frecuencia fue de 44%, los que, si presentaron comorbilidades, la Hipertensión arterial fue la mas frecuente con un 31,14%, seguida de la diabetes mellitus tipo II con un 14%. La agudeza visual mejor corregida post operatoria, el 62,5% tuvo ≥20/40, mientras que la presión intraocular post operatoria el 98% estuvo dentro de la normalidad. Las complicaciones post operatorias inmediatas mas frecuentes fue edema corneal con un 60%, seguido de hiperemia conjuntival con un 37% y afaquia1%; finalmente, las complicaciones post operatorias tardías en mayor frecuencia no la tuvieron con un 84%, y los que, si presentaron, la opacificidad capsular posterior tuvo 16%, subluxación de LIO con un 2% y discoria pupilar con un 2%. Conclusiones: Las complicaciones post operatorias inmediatas relacionadas a la cirugía de catarata bajo la técnica Mininuc en el Hospital II-1 Rioja (2020-2022) más frecuentes fueron edema corneal, hiperemia conjuntival y afaquia; y las complicaciones post operatorias tardías más frecuentes relacionadas a la cirugía de catarata bajo la técnica Mininuc en el Hospital II-1 Rioja (2020-2022) fue Opacidad de capsula posterior y subluxación de LIO.

The female sex was more frequent with 54% of patients undergoing surgery, and both right and left eyes had the same frequency. Most of the operated patients did not have comorbidities and their frequency was 44%. Those who did present comorbidities, arterial hypertension was the most frequent with 31.14%, followed by diabetes mellitus type II with 14%. Postoperative best corrected visual acuity, with 62.5% being ≥20/40, while postoperative intraocular pressure was within normal range in 98%. The most frequent immediate postoperative complications were corneal edema with 60%, followed by conjunctival hyperemia with 37% and aphakia1%; finally, 84% of late postoperative complications did not occur, and those that did were posterior capsular opacification (16%), IOL subluxation (2%) and pupillary dyskoria (2%). Conclusions: The most frequent immediate postoperative complications related to cataract surgery under the Mininuc technique at Hospital II-1 Rioja (2020-2022) were corneal edema, conjunctival hyperemia, and aphakia; and the most frequent late postoperative complications related to cataract surgery under the Mininuc technique at Hospital II-1 Rioja (2020-2022) was Posterior capsule opacity and IOL subluxation.
