Violation of human dignity and health of drug-trafficking detainees at DIVINCRI jails - Tarapoto, 2020 The present investigation considers the conditions in which the detainees for illicit drug trafficking are exposed, where the time spent inside the prison is very long, leading to a total violation of their fundamental rights and denigrating their human dignity to the point of exposing their physical integrity to unhealthy conditions. Considering that illicit drug trafficking offenses carry a maximum term of 15 days, the following general question has been raised: How is the human dignity and health of detainees for illicit drug trafficking in DIVINCRI jails - Tarapoto, 2020 violated? What are the scope and concepts of human dignity of the detainees for illicit drug trafficking in the DIVINCRI Tarapoto, 2020 jails? What are the sanitation conditions in the DIVINCRI-Tarapoto jails? How is the human dignity of the detainees for illicit drug trafficking affected when they spend the night in the DIVINCRI Tarapoto police jails without the sanitation conditions required by law? The general objective is to identify to which extent the human dignity and health of drug trafficking detainees in the DIVINCRI-Tarapoto prisons is violated, during 2020. The specific objectives are: to know the scope and concepts of human dignity of detainees for illicit drug trafficking in the DIVINCRI-Tarapoto jails, 2020; to identify the sanitary conditions in the DIVINCRI-Tarapoto jails; to determine how the human dignity of detainees for illicit drug trafficking is affected when they spend the night at the police jails DIVINCRI Tarapoto without the sanitary conditions required by law. The area of research is geographically located in the district of Tarapoto, in the PNP DIVINCRI unit, comprising the entire period of 2020. The methodology used was of a basic type with a qualitative approach, non-experimental design, by applying the interview guide to police professionals, prosecutors and doctors as instrument. The result shows that due to the unsanitary conditions of the DIVINCRI Tarapoto jail, the human dignity of the detainees for illicit drug trafficking is affected, as their right to health is affected, especially when they spend longer periods of time in such jails, so that they are exposed to diseases such as tuberculosis, influenza, Covid-19, gastrointestinal, dermatological and others.
