This research entitled as "Execution of tourism expenditure and its impact on economic growth (GDP) of the San Martin Region between 2009-2017" whose objective was to determine the impact of tourism spending on economic development ( PBI) of the San Martin Region between the years 2009 - 2017. The research presents a comparative descriptive level. The sample consisted of 9 study periods, the data collection technique was a document analysis guide. The results showed that the execution of tourism spending in the first periods was below the Institutional Opening Budget (PIA); where from the periods 2012 to 2016 reflected a balance with a swap of S /. 2,409,386.00 and S /. 2, 626, 556.00 as a minimum and maximum. As for economic growth, it came to present a positive evolution, the same one that started from the first study period with a sum of S /. 3, 740, 600.00; bringing with it a remarkable growth that was evidenced by the activities such as: Agriculture, livestock, Hunting and Forestry, manufacturing, commerce, public administration, lodging and restaurants. Concluding from the application of Pearson's statistical test that the impact generated by the execution of tourism spending on economic growth (GDP) of the San Martin Region in the periods 2009 - 2017 is not significant and positive; referring to other factors that determine economic growth within the San Martin Region.
