The following study was to determine the level of relation that exists between the Emotional Intelligence and the Warmth of Attention perceived by the patients of Tarapoto II - 2 Hospital, in the period June - August, 2017 The methodology used in the present one, is the following one: The type of investigation: Basic. Level of investigation: Descriptive. The Design of the Investigation is Correlacional. The sample population was shaped by 20 medical professionals of different specialties and 200 patients. The type of sample that was in use was: the sample convenience. It is to say 10 patients were chosen in random form by doctor's office to criterion of the investigator. The general result, after the analysis of the statistical information across Pearson's correlation, throws the value r = 0,656. The level significance that was in use was to = 0,01 and p-value = 0,002. (SPSS. Version 22) which concludes with the following result: • It was determined that the level of emotional intelligence in medical professionals reaches 85,0%, that is to say they have a moderately high positive level, compared to a 15,0% average level. • It was determined that 54,5% of the patients of II-2 Tarapoto Hospital perceive an average level of the warmth of Care in the different specialties in which it is attended, followed by 35,5% receiving a high level of attention warmth and 10,0% receiving a low level of attention warmth. • It was established that the existence of a relationship between the Emotional Intelligence of Medical Professionals and the warmth of Care perceived by patients of II – 2 Tarapoto Hospital, Period June – August 2016, is positive, moderately high; since a highly significant correlation level is observed at 1% significance (p< 0, 01)
