Environmental impact assessment of solid waste on the physical quality of water in the Salinas stream, Juanjuí 2018 The general objective of this basic research was to "Evaluate the environmental impact on the physical quality of the water in the Salinas stream, Juanjuí" and as specific objectives "To determine the environmental baseline (situational environmental diagnosis) of the stream; to analyze the physical quality (color, turbidity, pH, total dissolved solids, conductivity) of the water of the stream”; “to estimate the environmental impacts generated by household solid waste on the physical quality of the water of the stream". The methodology used was direct observation and analysis of physical parameters of water such as pH, conductivity, color, turbidity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids in water; the following instruments were used for this study: pH meter, conductivity meter, colorimeter, turbidimeter. During one week, 13 sampling points were carried out, the first station was at the headwaters of the Salinas stream, where there is a waterfall with a large amount of flora and fauna; successively different samples were taken downstream at a distance of 300 meters to determine the different studies, until reaching the Huallaga River, where the Salinas stream discharges its waters. In addition, water from the Huallaga River was sampled further upstream from the mouth of the river, and then a sample was taken further downstream to get a difference in the mix of water from the stream and the Huallaga River. The results show that of the six physical parameters evaluated, four are within the established parameters among them temperature with an average of 25.69 ºC, followed by conductivity of 0.69 uS/cm, total dissolved solids with an average of 271.38 mg/l, dissolved oxygen with an average of 3, 88 mg/L ; however, two parameters do not meet the standards, such as pH, which has an average of 6.14, whereas the standard is in the range of 6.5 - 8.5, and color, which is 53 Pt/Co, whereas the standard is 15 Pt/Co.
