The objective of this study was to determine the association between Climatric Syndrome and Family Function in women treated at Hospital II - 2 MINSA - Tarapoto. Period August - December 2016. The type of research was quantitative, descriptive - prospective, cross-sectional, with a Correlational design. The sample consisted of 370 women between 45 and 64 years old. The results found were: Female climatters range from 56-64 years (89.9%), are cohabiting (47.6%), secondary education (60.3%) and housewives (74.9% ). The most frequent climacteric symptoms were difficulty sleeping (65.9%), urinary problems (55.1%), dry oral mucosa (53.2%) and heart discomfort (43.0%). The intensity of the symptoms is mild (55.7%), moderate (42.2%) and severe (1.4%). Among the indicators of family functioning are: affection (76.7%), living in harmony (66%), accepting the defects of others and overcoming (62.7%), family problems help each other (57 , 6%) and each fulfills its responsibilities (54.3%). 48.4% of climacteric women have a moderately functional family, 25.7% dysfunctional family and 17.6% functional family. All dimensions of the climacteric syndrome have a strong association with family functioning (p <0.05). It is concluded: There is a statistically significant association between Climatérico syndrome and Family functioning in women attended at Hospital II - 2 MINSA - Tarapoto, during the period August to December 2016 (p <0.05).
