The present investigation had as objective "To determine the influence of the violence based on gender in the attitudes towards the sexual and reproductive health of the adolescents, carried out in the I.E Santa Rosa de Tarapoto - Peru in the period of July - December of 2017". The study was quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional. Using prospective data collection, the population and sample consisted of 178 adolescent students from the 5th grade of high school. The results showed that the socio-demographic characteristics of the adolescents were as follows: 56.3% are 16 years old and 59.9% are male. The prevalence of violence was 97.6%, attitudes towards sexual and reproductive health showed that 56.3% have an indifferent attitude, followed by 23.4% who have a favorable attitude; according to the type of violence, psychological violence occupies the first place, followed by physical violence and finally sexual violence at some time in their life. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the influence of gender-based violence on attitudes towards sexual and reproductive health, measured through the non-parametric chi-square test as both are nominal variables, with a Χ² = 5.321 and a p-value = 0.070 respectively
