Productivity and income distribution in the San Martín region, period 2007 – 2021 The San Martin region has benefited from the sustained growth of its gross domestic product over the last decade, with the reduction of monetary poverty from 37.6% in 2010 to 20.9% in 2021.Under these conditions of observed economic growth and reduction of monetary poverty, the average monthly income from work in the San Martin region amounts to 1178.9 soles for the year 2021, reflecting an increase of 19.9% with respect to 2020. The objective of the research was to determine productivity and its contribution to income distribution in the San Martin region, period 2007 - 2021. The hypothesis was that productivity contributes directly to income distribution in the San Martin region, period 2007 - 2021. The type of research was applied, and the level of research was explanatory - longitudinal. The results obtained show that the average monthly income in the region has been increasing in line with GVA growth, also evidencing that despite the increase in gross value added in 2020, there is one of the sharpest declines in average monthly income, suffering a 09-year setback. The relationship between GVA and average monthly income is 0.885. The EAP in the San Martin region, period 2007 - 2021, shows an approximate growth of 36.55%, with periods of high growth such as in 2010, when it increased by 7.18%, by 6.68% in 2016 and an increase of approximately 10.93% in 2021. The relationship between the EAP and the average monthly income is 0.765, productivity increases throughout the study period, going from 8290 in 2007 to 18165 in 2021, but the behavior of the annual variation of productivity shows high levels of growth, such as 16.15% in 2008, 13.55% in 2011, and in 2012, 2014 and 2015, with productivity variations of 14.16%, 15.01% and 11.7% respectively, considering the annual variation to be above 10%. Productivity explains 81.8% of the income distribution, with a considerable positive correlation of 0.905. In addition, it was determined that a variation of one unit in productivity will affect the income distribution by an additional 0.039 units. The following conclusions were reached: GVA is related to the average monthly income in the San Martin region, period 2007 - 2021, with a considerable positive correlation. The relationship between EAP and average monthly income in the San Martin region, period 2007 - 2021, has a considerable positive correlation. A variation of one unit in productivity will affect the distribution of income by an additional 0.039 units, thus contributing to the distribution of income in the San Martin region.
