The present thesis project called "Analysis of the demand for drinking water for the purpose of redesigning the drinking water system of the population of Dos Unidos, El Caribe and Nueva Esperanza, district of San Pablo, Bellavista, San Martin", was developed in the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National University of San Martin - Tarapoto. This work arises from the need to solve the problems existing in the collection of drinking water that will affect the population of the localities, Dos Unidos, El Caribe and Nueva Esperanza due to the population growth and the age of the supply system (through groundwater), which would generate an interrupted supply in certain of the population, which is even conditioned its health situation in the not too distant future. This is how it is foreseen through the analysis of an alternative, the improvement and expansion of the current supply system for the potable water supply system, with the purpose of satisfying the total water demand, for the locations of Dos Unidos, El Caribe and New Hope. The project developed below consists of the construction of a Drinking Water System that will provide the service to 157 families living in the indicated communities. For this, the designs of the hydrological, environmental, economic and hydraulic infrastructure system projected to 20 years have been made, currently the community has 202 inhabitants and in the useful life of the system will have a final population of 755 inhabitants. The contribution of the Study of Environmental Impacts, it is concluded that there is no significant negative impact, since it does not affect either the flora or the fauna of the ecosystem. Finally, to obtain conclusions about the technical-economic feasibility of water supply systems for human consumption in the rural area of the Peruvian jungle, a budget was elaborated per system; proving that the greater incidence in costs is produced by the aerial transport of the materials to the area of the work.
