In the San Martín Region, spending on education is destined for the continuous improvement of the infrastructure, capacity building, equipment, educational materials, management and payroll, which allows the operation of educational institutions; However, it is not known if there is a relationship with educational coverage, therefore the following research aims to determine the relationship between the variables Public Expenditure on Education and Educational Coverage at the Regular Basic level in the district of Chazuta, period 2010 – 2016. This investigation starts from a selected sample of 28 educational institutions of the regular basic level belonging to the district of Chazuta, the type of research is applied, with a level of correlational research, and lengthwise and non-experimental design. With the application of the instruments of analysis and data collection, it was obtained that the Public Expenditure on Education together with the Educational Coverage have maintained a similar progression, reaching a positive relationship between public spending on education and educational coverage in the regular basic level in the district of Chazuta, period 2010 – 2016, reflected by Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.716, which indicates an average positive correlation, which allowed the acceptance of the research hypothesis.
