The general objective of this research was to analyze how criminal dosimetry and the principle of proportionality are applied in crimes of corruption of public officials, the study was developed in the Unipersonal Criminal Court of Tarapoto. The research was of a basic type with a qualitative approach based on grounded theory and hermeneutics. The study population and sample consisted of 22 experts, including prosecutors, judges and trial lawyers, who were interviewed, and 8 convictions for crimes of corruption of public officials. From there, with the data triangulation technique, for the first category it was obtained that the dosimetry of the punishment allows measuring, evaluating and assessing the criteria and/or fundamental and constitutional principles that govern the actions of the judge; and as for the second category, the imposition of a penalty is currently subject to the parameters of the principle of proportionality, according to the perpetrator, the passive subject, and the circumstances of the criminal act. Finally, it was concluded that the Unipersonal Criminal Court of Tarapoto optimally applies dosimetry and the principle of proportionality in the crimes of corruption of public officials, since there is a link between them and a correct weighting of the punishment. Consequently, the hypothesis is proven, that is, the dosimetry of the punishment and the principle of proportionality are optimally applied in the crimes of corruption of public officials, Unipersonal Criminal Court of Tarapoto, 2020-2021.
