The research carried out on lettuce (Lactuca sativa), known to be cultivated almost worldwide, stands out in the diet, exhibiting various types of leaves and plant growth patterns. Lettuce cultivation is being promoted in the San Martin Region, since the climate is suitable for this crop, so the general objective was determine the adaptability potential of four lettuce varieties. The work was carried out on the land of Mr. Royler Vásquez Malqui, which covers 19 hectares, located in the Tipishca sector the Tocache-San Martín, with following treatments: T1 Waldeman´s Green, T2 Great Lakes Variety, T3 White Boston Variety and T4 Parris Island Variety. The specific results 1 and 2, concluding that the yield averages of White Boston, Great Lakes and Parris Island obtained similar results of 25 881.3, 23 937.5 and 22 875.0 kg ha-1. Great Lakes variety reached a leaf area of 281.9 cm. The four varieties were not very susceptible to pests and diseases, which may be due to management or climatic conditions that did not contribute to the appearance of pathogens.
