The objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between refocused prenatal care and obstetric complications during childbirth in pregnant women attended to at the Morales Health Center, 2019. This research was of a basic type, of a descriptive correlational level, with retro-prospective data collection, with a non-experimental design. The study sample was made up of 178 pregnant women attended at the Morales Health Center in 2019. The data collection technique used was documentary analysis and the instrument was data collection sheet and direct observation. In addition, to measure the level of the variables "Refocused prenatal care" and "Obstetric complications during delivery", a survey was applied and the instrument was the questionnaire. Results, of the socio-demographic characteristics of the pregnant women attended to at the Morales Health Center according to age, 29.21% belong to people between 20 and 25 years old. According to educational level, 50% have studied secondary school. According to marital status 74.72% are cohabitants and according to origin 73.60% are from urban areas. Regarding the refocused prenatal care at the Morales Health Center in 2019, 62.92% of the cases indicated that it is good, 28.65% indicated that it is regular and 8.43% indicated that it is bad. In obstetric complications at the Morales Health Center in the period 2019, 58.43% of cases indicated that there were low complications, 29.785% of cases presented moderate complications, and 11.80% of cases had severe complications. Refocused prenatal care and obstetric complications during delivery are negatively and significantly correlated (-1 < r < 0), with a direct and significant relationship at the 0.05 level (bilateral). The dimension of auxiliary and complete laboratory tests showed a greater degree of relationship with the variable of obstetric complications (r=-0.822); in contrast to the other dimensions. Finally, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between refocused prenatal care and obstetric complications during delivery in pregnant women attended at the Morales Health Center, 2019.
