The present work has been developed in the Professional Academic School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National University of San Martin-Tarapoto, for purposes of titling as civil engineer. Taking into account that urban development has accelerated in the second half of the twentieth century with large concentration of population in small spaces, impacting on the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem and the population itself. This process is occurring due to the lack of control of the urban space that produces direct effects on the water infrastructure: water supply, sanitary system, urban drainage and riparian floods and solid waste. On the other hand, the "El Niño" phenomenon, which is cyclical in nature and has a recurrence period of 11 to 12 years on average (although not always of the same intensity); in recent years it has been considerably reduced to less than 6 years. It is very clear the incidence of this water warming in the Equatorial Pacific in the climate of the north coast of Peru manifesting in the anomalies of: Torrential rains and Extraordinary flows in the rivers. An urban storm drainage network will be designed in the city of Tarapoto, taking into account: - The existing restrictions, in this case given by the National Regulation. - The hydraulic parameters according to the type of material chosen and the geometry of the ducts. - The intensity of rain design - Runoff flows varying in time and with maximum value calculated with the Rational method. KEY WORDS: Sewer, Pluvial, Urban
