The objective of this research work was to determine the level of knowledge about preventive measures against COVID 19 in inhabitants of the Ampliación la Victoria Housing Association of the Banda de Shilcayo District. August 2021 to January 2022. Correlational cross-sectional descriptive study, the sample consisted of 150 inhabitants. The instrument of Beltrán K and Pérez I was considered. Results: 40.7% of the population studied are between the ages of 31 to 40 years of age, 76.7% are female, 42.7% of the population are cohabiting, 56.7% are housewives, 57.3% depend on themselves, 64.7% profess the evangelical religion. In the “Social Distancing” Dimension, 72% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 28% with low knowledge. In the “Handwashing” Dimension, 68.7% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 31.3% with low knowledge. In the “Use of mask” Dimension, 81.3% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 18.7% with low knowledge. In the “Respiratory Hygiene” Dimension, 78.7% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 21.3% with low knowledge. In the Dimension “cleaning and disinfection of the home” 65.3% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 34.7% low knowledge. In the Dimension “Care of preventive or confirmed cases” 67.3% of the population studied have high knowledge, followed by 32.7% low knowledge. Concluding that 75.3% have a high level of knowledge about preventive measures against COVID 19, followed by 24.7 that have a low level of knowledge.
