Principle of sustainability and illegal logging in the Alto Amazonas Environmental Prosecutor's Office files, 2021 The present research entitled "Principle of sustainability and illegal logging in Alto Amazonas environmental prosecution files 2021", is imperative as it examines how the principle of sustainability was applied in the work of the prosecution during the year 2021. to address the problem of illegal logging and build a path towards an environmentally responsible future in the Alto Amazonas province. The general objective is to determine the relationship between the principle of sustainability and illegal logging in the files of the environmental prosecutor's office of Alto Amazonas, 2021. The specific objectives are: (1) To analyze the application of the principle of sustainability in relation to illegal logging in the files of the environmental prosecutor's office of Alto Amazonas, 2021 and (2) To diagnose the cases of illegal logging in the files of the environmental prosecutor's office of Alto Amazonas, 2021. The research reveals an alarming lack of application of the principle of sustainability in the environmental prosecution of Alto Amazonas, showing deficiencies in considering economic, social and environmental aspects in the fight against illegal logging. The totality of documented cases related to illegal logging show deforestation and biodiversity loss, underlining the urgent need for more comprehensive measures. Chi-square analysis suggests a significant association between lack of adherence to sustainability and the persistence of illegal logging. More balanced policies and effective legal actions are required to address this issue more effectively. In conclusion During 2021, illegal logging in Alto Amazonas revealed an alarming lack of sustainable approach, evidencing legal deficiencies and a direct connection to environmental and biodiversity loss. The considerable number of unresolved cases suggests shortcomings in legal measures, calling for urgent action to halt these activities and promote ecosystem restoration and conservation. Statistical analysis supports a significant association between lack of sustainability and the persistence of illegal logging, highlighting the urgency for more integrated and sustainable policies.
