The following research is of a descriptive nature, it consisted of the compilation of all information related to the impact generated by the use of rice residues, in this case rice husks, reinforced with bibliographic sources, including scientific research, articles and experiences that were developed during the monitoring of the study area. Once this activity was completed, systematization of the information and reorganization of some of the details obtained during the research in the province of Mariscal Cáceres, San Martín, was carried out. Thus, the following objectives were set: rice husks and economic impact caused by the use of rice husks. The following conclusions were reached: rice husks are a biological material, a by-product of the milling activity that has become a waste that is complicated to manage, resorting to burning it, throwing it into rivers, etc.; generating a greater distribution of the same, affecting not only the place of origin but also its area of greatest influence. Therefore, it is currently being referenced as a valuable source for agriculture as organic matter that can be used as fertilizer, can also be used as an amendment, and is a very good weed controller. In addition, it has positive impacts in several areas, such as agriculture, energy, industry and the environment, which through proper management it can contribute to sustainability and economic development, generating different alternatives for business ventures in the province of Mariscal Cáceres and its annexes.
