The investigation has originated from the fact that mothers who attend this health center do not provide their children with the complementary food they need to obtain the necessary nutrients they require for their bodies to function optimally and reach an optimal level of development, according to their age. This situation leads to serious difficulties for the children and even puts them in risky situations that can seriously affect their health. In this sense, the research proposed as objective: To determine the association between complementary feeding practices and hemoglobin in children from 6 to 12 months of age attending the Morales Health Center between February and June 2023. The typology of the research was applied with a quantitative approach, descriptive in scope and cross-sectional, for which inductive analysis was used. The population consisted of 281 mothers with children aged 6 to 12 months, while the sample comprised only 163. In addition, survey and observation techniques were used to collect data, with their respective instruments: questionnaire and observation sheet. Results: In relation to the sociodemographic factors of the mothers, 39.3% are between 25 and 29 years of age, 21.5% of whom have an 8-month-old child, 82.8% come from the jungle region, 63.2% have a high school education, 67.5% are housewives, 56.4% are cohabitants and 70.6% are Catholics. It is also recognized that complementary feeding practices are inadequate according to 59.5%, while 41.7% of children have presented mild anemia. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant relationship between complementary feeding practices and hemoglobin in children aged 6 to 12 months who attended the Morales Health Center between February and June 2023, since the asymptotic significance (bilateral) was represented by a value of less than 0.001, which is lower than the 0.05 established by statistical rule.
