The objective of this research was to: Determine depression in older adults and its relationship with the biopsychosocial determinants of the rest house, my Divine Child Jesus. District of Morales. Period April-September 2018, the study was an observational, analytical, qualitative approach, with a descriptive cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 23 older adults, using the interview technique and as a questionnaire instrument. In the results obtained within the sociodemographic characteristics, it can be shown that 60.87% (14) are male, 39.13% (9) are widowed, 34.78% (8) are between the ages of 65 to 75 years of age, 39.1% have primary education, 47.83% (11) their occupation is their home, 47.8% (11) have mild depression, followed by 34.8% (8) normal depression and a 17.4% (4) present severe depression, in terms of biological determinants; age is related to the level of mild depression with 26.09% (6), gender is related to the level of mild depression with 34.78% (8), nutritional status is related to the level of mild depression with 39.13% (9 ), the personal pathological background is related to the level of mild depression with 39.13% (9), the familiar pathological background is related to the level of mild depression with 47.83%. (11), in the psychological determinants; relationships with others are related to the level of mild depression with 47.83% (11), Neurotism is related to the level of mild depression with 39.13% (9), the groups by personality types are related to the level of mild depression with 30.43% (7) and in social determinants; the marital status is related to the level of mild depression with 30.43 %% (7), the origin is related to the level of normal depression with 39.13% (9), the needs of social communication are related to the level of mild depression with 34.78% (8), basic services are related to the level of mild depression with 39.13% (9), access to the health system is related to the level of mild depression with 52.17%. (12), coexistence is related to the level of mild depression with 43.48% (10), the family situation is related to the level of mild depression with 60.87% (14); likewise, it is evident that 7 older adults have psychological factors related to the level of mild stress with 43.75%, to itself 5 older adults have biological factors related to the level of mild stress and 4 older adults have social factors related to the level of mild stress, with 25.00%.
