This thesis project was developed at the Professional School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National University of San Martin with the objective to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering as a contribution to society and to identify and define methods and strategies to facilitate the conservation and maintenance of the pavement on the Morales - San Pedro road. Through a visual diagnosis it has been possible to determine the types of pathologies that are present in the road, identifying the different faults, location and magnitude, which made possible to identify the current situation of the existing pavement in the local road. The relevant information was collected, which facilitates the estimation of the compromised areas, leading to the identification of actions for the repair, conservation or road maintenance of the road. This allows the preparation of a proposal for road conservation intervention actions to be carried out in order to restore the proper functioning of the local road and to propose permanent maintenance actions for the road to achieve the sustainability of its operation over time. In-depth studies were conducted on aspects related to the regulations in force, which, in this case, corresponds to those managed by the national governing entity, as well as aspects related to management. On this basis, pavement diagnosis activities were carried out, making a visual identification of its current condition along the section under study, determining that there is a flexible pavement, where the presence of structural and surface failures was observed; in the first case, longitudinal and transverse cracks, rutting, and in the second case, potholes, landslides, repairs carried out, there are no critical points. Likewise, using flow charts and PERT-CPM and Gantt programming diagrams, action programs were prepared to repair the pathologies found and restore the current situation, as well as to carry out annual road maintenance or conservation, in order to maintain the local road in a permanent serviceable condition. As a result of the study, a complete visual identification of the pavement was achieved, characterized in tables, and diagrams were prepared for the programming of road maintenance or conservation actions.
