This research was developed with the aim of studying the tools and techniques application impact and quality and risks management in Rimac slope stabilization project in the San Martin’s tunnel access, district of Rimac, Lima, in relation to costs and time by applying the standards and guidelines proposed by the Project Management Institute. This study was based on the contrast of the project results after the execution of the project and the estimated results through the use and application of quality and risk management tools and techniques. It is therefore essential to have information relating to the cost base line, as well as the schedule baseline, factors that are essential to determine the effects and/or variations with respect to costs and final implementation times. Thus using the comparative analysis between the incidence alternative applications was determined in the field study project. This information is a contribution to our city, boosting the design of projects that generate value and a high degree of customer/user satisfaction based on tools and techniques and quality and risks management. According to the results obtained, appropriate and timely quality management and management of uncertainties lead to cost optimization and significant improvements in delivery times are translated into decisive criteria of value in the success of the development of a project.
