This thesis work was developed in the Professional School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the National University of San Martín - Tarapoto, for the purpose of qualification as a Civil Engineer, as a contribution to society, to solve the problem not considered in the evacuation of rainwater (storm sewer) in the sector Union, District of Soritor-Province of Moyobamba-Region San Martin. The contribution is to prepare a proposal for a storm sewer system, whose purpose is to evacuate storm water and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Union sector, and at the same time make available to the National University from San Martín, an investigation that will serve as the basis for future projects. Basic studies were carried out for the realization of said project (soil mechanics study, topographic study, hydrological study), in addition to calculation memories, metrado spreadsheet, according to the new National Building Regulation (RNE). Because of the study, the plans were drawn up (topographic, direction of flow, cross sections, works of art and drainage). In conclusion, the means and conditions that improve the quality of life of people in the Union sector have been established (fewer diseases due to the evacuation of rainwater).
