Maternal-perinatal complications and anemia in pregnant women attended at the Santa Gema Hospital of Yurimaguas, January-July 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal-perinatal complications and anemia in pregnant women attended at the Santa Gema Hospital of Yurimaguas, January-July 2021. This was a basic research, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional correlational level. The sample consisted of 169 medical records of pregnant women diagnosed with anemia. Documentary analysis technique and data collection form were used. Results: The most frequently presented general characteristics were age between 18 and 24 years 32.54%, cohabiting marital status 72.78%, high school education 57.99%, catholic religion 67.46% and gestation in the third trimester 75.74%; the anemia was mild 60.95%, moderate 36.69% and severe 2.37%. The most frequent complications were preeclampsia 13.02%, miscarriage 10.65%, postpartum hemorrhage 10.06%, threatened preterm delivery 6.51%, preterm delivery, urinary tract infection and threatened miscarriage 4.73% respectively. The most frequent perinatal complications were: low birth weight 13.61%, low APGAR at 1 minute 12.43%, prematurity 8.88%, fetal distress 8.28%, fetal macrosomia 1.78% and fetal death 1.18%. It is concluded that there is a relationship between maternal complications and anemia levels, i.e., the higher the degree of anemia, the higher the maternal complications of the pregnant woman; however, there is no relationship between perinatal complications and maternal anemia in newborns.
