The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the induction process in the stages of recruitment - selection with the labor desertion of workers in three-star hotels in the district of Moyobamba 2019. Methodologically, it was a quantitative approach study, of basic type, correlational level and non-experimental design, with a sample of 65 collaborators among the three hotels: Alta Vista Casa Hotel, Bachíg Hospedaje, Hotel Río Mayo S.A.C., to which a questionnaire was applied as a collection instrument. The main results show that the recruitment and selection process is inadequate according to 48% and there is a high level of labor desertion in the companies under study, as confirmed by 55% of the respondents. It is concluded that there is an inverse relationship between the induction process in the recruitment-selection stages and the employees' labor desertion, since it yielded a bilateral significance of 0.000; while the correlation coefficient was -.730; which showed that the more deficient the induction process is in the recruitment-selection stages, the higher the labor desertion will be. Thus, the research hypothesis (Hi) is accepted and therefore the null hypothesis Ho is rejected.
