The San Martin region is an area of high levels of rainfall, which implies the need to plan, design and build storm drainage systems in all the cities that comprise the San Martin region, since most of them are currently susceptible to pluvial flooding and river flooding. The design of storm drainage includes the determination of the topographic and morphological characteristics of urban areas, which condition the runoff of rainwater. It is also necessary to determine the hydraulic, geometric and structural characteristics of the drainage systems that carry water within the urban area and drain it out of it to the receiving bodies. The main objective of the study was to execute the hydraulic and structural design of the urban storm drainage system in the town of Jerillo, province of Moyobamba, San Martin region, using the data obtained from the engineering studies carried out in the town, such as topography, soils, hydrology, etc. Likewise, the Rational Method and the Gumbel Type I Method were used to calculate runoff flows. Through this project, it is expected that the calculations made will be as accurate as possible, in order to serve as a technical contribution to solve the problem of storm drainage in Jerillo.
