Effectiveness: promotion of self-care of the continuing education program in outpatient family and community health. Morales Health Center, 2022. The worldwide prevalence (age-standardized) of diabetes has almost doubled since 1980, from 4.7% to 8.5% in the adult population. This reflects an increase in associated risk factors, such as being overweight. Over the last decade, the prevalence of diabetes has increased faster in low- and middle-income countries than in high-income countries. The general objective of the research was to determine the level of effectiveness of the self-care promotion of the continuing education program in ambulatory and community family health, Morales Health Center, January - June 2022. Simple descriptive research of non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 140 patients attended at PROFAM of the Morales Health Center, during the period from January to June 2022. The Quiroz D, Vásquez S. questionnaire was used with the research entitled: "Effect of the educational intervention in the self-care of the patient with Diabetes Mellitus; Sagrado Corazón Health Center, Trujillo 2020". which consists of a Likert Scale type form. The results indicated that the level of effectiveness according to the diet dimension is poor by 48.6% as reported by 68 patients, fair by 42.1% as reported by 59 patients and good by 9.3% as reported by 13 patients. According to the physical activity dimension, the level of effectiveness is fair by 55.0% as reported by 77 patients, poor by 38.6% as reported by 54 patients and good by 6.4% as reported by 9 patients. According to the pharmacological treatment dimension, the level of effectiveness is fair by 50.7% as explained by 71 patients, poor by 38.6% as reported by 54 patients and good by 10.7% as reported by 15 patients. According to the skin and foot care dimension, the level of effectiveness is poor by 59.3% as explained by 83 patients, fair by 36.4% as reported by 51 patients and good by 4.3% as reported by 6 patients. It was concluded that the level of effectiveness of the promotion of self-care in diabetic patients is deficient by 51.4% as explained by 72 patients, fair by 42.9% as stated by 60 patients and good by 5.7% as reported by 8 patients.
