The objective of this study was to propose a curricular management model to improve the curricular design and the graduate profile of the professional career of midwifery-UNSM. A descriptive and propositional design was used, having applied several instruments: inventory of curricular management and inventory of curricular design and graduate profile, validated by judges' criteria and established by reliability through Cronbach's alpha to a sample of 126 students. At a descriptive level, it should be noted that, in relation to the characterization of curriculum management used for curriculum design and the profile of the graduate, low levels were found for research skills, participation in training events, scientific production, social outreach, willingness to change and curriculum coherence. It was found that the competencies of the graduate profile of the midwifery career are poorly perceived by the students, and they are: leadership, teamwork and critical and creative thinking. In turn, learning management and ethical assessment are observed at a low level. It was established that the design of the curricular management model strengthens the curricular design and the graduate profile of the UNSM midwifery career, presenting validity through the Delphi method, with 80.50% agreement among the experts, both in quality and effectiveness.
