The present research entitled: Level of knowledge of electronic money among students of Economics at UNSM-T and its relationship with financial inclusion, 2018, has as main objective to analyze the level of knowledge of the students of the Professional School of Economics, for the implementation and use of electronic money as an important tool to achieve greater financial inclusion in the Peruvian economy, at the same time the causes for which the use of electronic money has not been massified by large sectors of the population will be analyzed. The purpose of the research is to study, analyze and discuss the scope of the operation of electronic money in Peru, as well as its regulatory aspects, highlighting the benefits of its application. The creation of electronic money constitutes an important mechanism to carry out different commercial transactions through the use of mobile devices, under secure conditions and seeking to favor especially sectors of the population in rural areas that do not have access to the financial system. In the field work carried out, interviews and surveys were conducted with 141 students of the Professional School of Economics enrolled as of December 2018, who gave their comments on the implementation of electronic money, together with the documentary information analyzed, demonstrating the existing link between the variables raised: Electronic Money, Financial Inclusion. Likewise, there is a low level of knowledge about the functioning of electronic money as an instrument of financial inclusion, mainly due to the lack of information on the part of the people responsible for its application, thus concluding that with the massive use of electronic money, higher rates of financial inclusion will be achieved in the Peruvian economy.
