Human activities are producing an excess of greenhouse gases that are potentially warming the Earth's climate, while forest ecosystems are storing carbon in the atmosphere in biomass and soil. The general objective of the following investigation, “Evaluation of the volumetric increase of five forest species and their carbon capture and storage, Pabloyacu Production and Research Center, Moyobamba - 2018”, was to evaluate the volumetric increase of five forest species and their storage of carbon sequestration; Eucalyptus torrelliana, Eucalyptus saligna, Bolaina, Pino chuncho and Tornillo, species found, in the forest plantation belonging to the Research Center. The investigation was carried out methodologically in two phases: the field phase, consisting of the identification stage; signaling, and inventory, during which the data required for the cabinet phase was registered, and we managed results with the application of the corresponding formulas. We obtained the following results for the carbon capture of the five forest species: the Eucalyptus Torrelliana species, recorded 0.0000986 t / ha, the Eucalyptus Salina registered 0.0002001 t / ha, the Bolaina registered 0.0000438 t / ha, the Pino chuncho recorded 0.0000434 t / ha , and the Tornillo recorded 0.0.000000521 t / ha of carbon capture respectively. A total of 647 individuals were included in the research register, 258 of which are Eucalyptus torrellana, 173 Eucalyptus saligna, 190 Bolainas , 21 Pino Chuncho and 5 Tornillo.
