The research was developed in the jurisdiction of the whole province of Rioja during the period between the years 2014 - 2018, the main objective was to determine the relationship between climate variation and dengue morbidity in the city of Rioja. It is a basic research, with a correlational level of study and a descriptive correlational design. The main instrument used to determine the degree of relationship between the studied variables was the temperature and precipitation measurements from the meteorological station of the province of Rioja and the data about dengue cases provided by the Environmental Sanitation Area of the Network of Rioja Health Services of the Regional Health Directorate of San Martín - MINSA. The research hypothesis indicated whether or not there is a relationship between climate variation (temperature and precipitation) and dengue cases registered in the period 2014- 2018, for which it was necessary to have real data about the study variables. Taking into account these situations, the results show that there is no relationship between the study variables, that is, there is no relationship between precipitation and dengue cases, and there is no relationship between average temperature and dengue cases. Therefore, it can be said that during the studied period, climatic variation, which in this case is based on temperature and precipitation, did not influence the determination of dengue cases registered in the city of Rioja. In order to facilitate the research process, the data on temperature, precipitation and dengue cases for each month for all the years included in the period were processed and analyzed using tables and graphs to facilitate the analysis and subsequent determination of the relationship between variables, using Pearson's test and the significance test.
