This is an applied research with experimental development, it was carried out at the Aucaloma farm of the National University of San Martin, in the province and region of San Martin. The objectives were to determine the effect of planting densities on the yield of maize (Zea mays L.) with the application of gibberellins under conditions of Aucaloma, San Martin. Specific objectives were: a). Determine the effects of planting densities on the biometric characteristics of the soft corn (Zea mays L.) crop with gibberellin application under conditions of Aucaloma, San Martin; b). To evaluate and determine the effects of gibberellin doses on the soft corn crop (Zea mays L.) under conditions of Aucaloma, San Martin. To achieve the objectives, the work was carried out using planting densities of 0.40 x 0.40 m; 0.40 m x 0.60 m and 0.40 x 0.80 m, N - P- K was also applied at doses of 180 - 80 - 80 and finally, gibberellins (gib max) were applied at the growth stage at 350 ml/ha, 700 ml/ha and 0 ml/ha. There is statistical evidence to affirm the statistical differences between the means of the treatments studied with respect to sowing densities in the biometric characteristics of the soft corn crop (Zea mays L.) with application of gibberellins under conditions of Aucaloma, San Martin. Likewise, the independent variables such as planting density (Factor a) reflects that there is a difference in means, the same can be said of the gibberellin doses (Factor b), the results also indicate that there is an interaction between the variables studied (Factor a x Factor b). Regarding the yield, parameters such as ears/plant, ear weight, weight of 100 gr/ear and weight at 14% of H° were studied, which is affirmed with a significance level at 95% (p< 0.05), which has statistical evidence between treatments, densities and doses; the parameters of ears/plant and weight at 14% of H° there is no interaction between the doses and densities studied. Finally, regarding the economic analysis of the production of soft corn, it is identified that T8 and T5 have the highest B/C with respect to the other treatments with a profitability of 77.30% and 74.33%, which means that for each S/ 1.00 invested, there is a profit of S/ 1.77 and S/ 1.74 respectively for the treatments mentioned.
