The following investigation determines the concentration levels of hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide, caused by vehicular traffic in the city of Juanjui in 2015; Eight monitoring points were established, selected randomly in the main points of vehicular concentration; measurements were made in three schedules (6:30 - 7:30, 12:00 - 13:00 and 17:30 - 18:30 hours), during 6 months; Regarding the characterization of the vehicle fleet, it was determined that 56% are vehicles call as motokar, a three wheel motorbike, and 34% of the motorcycle type, representing 90% of the vehicle fleet; Also for the measured CO values the highest record is 97.79 ug / m3 in the Jr. La Merced intersection with Jr. Huallaga and the general average is 90.58 ug / m3 considering all the monitoring points , being below 10000 ug / m3 and regarding the emission of HC the highest record is 28.4 mg / m3 for the same intersection; the general average is 23.63 mg / m3 considering all the monitoring points, being below 100 mg / m3; in terms of vehicular traffic and hydrocarbon concentration levels in the monitoring schedules, monitoring point No. 8 reached the highest records with an average of 1,352 vehicles and 26.34 mg / m3 of HC and 94.51 in CO ; These results show that the Environmental Quality Standards established in Supreme Decree No. 003 - 2008-MINAM are not exceeded.
