The objective of this thesis was to describe the risk factors associated with pre-eclampsia in women aged from 15 to 19 years old. Case-control study, Hospital II-2 Tarapoto, January 2018 to December 2020. The research was basic, analytical, non-experimental, descriptive, observational, retrospective, cross-sectional and case-control. The sample was made up of 176 medical records divided into 2 groups of 88 cases and 88 controls. Direct observation and data form were used as the data collection technique and instrument, respectively. The results showed that, after comparing the case groups with the control groups, the most frequent type of pre-eclampsia in women between 15 and 19 years old was the one with severe criteria with 86.4 % followed by the one with non-severe criteria with 13.6 %. Age is the only sociodemographic characteristic considered to be a determinant in the occurrence of pre-eclampsia. Pregnancy, gestational age and anemia are the obstetric risk factors determining the presence of pre-eclampsia. Finally, no pathologic antecedents were found to be determinant in the presence of pre-eclampsia.
