Hydraulic study and construction of an hydraulic ram pump for the collection and conduction of domestic water in the native community of Urcopata, District and Province of Lamas, Region of San Martín The present investigation included the hydraulic simulation and construction of three water ram pumps for the water supply to the Urcopata C.C.P.P., considering basic studies such as the topography study and the design of the potable water supply network using the water ram pump. The project is divided into two stages: the first stage involved the collection of field data considering the topography study and hydraulic parameters; the design flow rate was 1.54 l/s. The hydraulic ram pump is supplied by a 2" conduction network and the 1/2" conduction line drifts to the reservoir with a flow rate of 0.52 l/s. To meet this demand, 3 ram pumps with a total flow rate of 1.56 l/s are required. The hydraulic modeling from the reservoir to the home networks was then processed using WaterCAD software. The topographic conditions allow the use of a conventional model for the supply of drinking water (gravity system), starting from a reservoir with a 26.55 m3 capacity, by using a 6" pipeline with a length of 231.60 meters and home networks of at least 1/2". It was determined that the maximum velocity is 0.78 m/s and for the nodes a maximum pressure of 49.58 mmH2O and a minimum pressure of 28.99 mmH2O. Based on the results, it was concluded that the network design complies with national construction standards, achieving an efficient operation in the potable water supply system, obtaining pressures and velocities mostly within the ranges established by the current standards.
