The research aims to apply the reritrab strategy to improve the oral expression of first grade students in the I.E. San Vicente de Paúl, Awajún, Rioja. In the theoretical references, oral expression in Gonzálvez (2016), Casales (2006) argue that it is a communicative act that exchanges information and negotiates them synchronously; in addition, the Ministry of Education dimensions them into linguistic, paralinguistic, kinesic and proxemic elements. The didactic strategy reritrab is supported by Arisaca (2015) who helps to sustain it to contribute to the correct fluency, vocalization and pronunciation; moreover, reritrab is the conjunction of strategies such as the songs (retahílas) supported by Yépez (2015), rhymes and tongue twisters (rimas y trabalenguas )by Gutiérrez and Páez (2015), who support the necessary procedures in order to improve oral expression in its different manifestations. For this purpose, the following hypothesis is proposed: If we apply the didactic strategy reritrab, then oral expression in first grade students will be significantly improved. Methodologically, the design was pre-experimental, 28 students conformed the sample. It is concluded that the average was very favorable with 173.9 points, and that 90% obtained a favorable level of achievement, while 10% were in process. A calculated T-Student value of -19.256, which is lower than the tabular value of -1.699, evidenced by a p-value= 0.000 of less than 5%, indicates that the didactic strategy reritrab has significantly improved oral expression among first grade students.
